Section 144 Imposed In Dhamnagar Following Tension Over Fire Outbreak

Bhadark: Section 144 of CrPC was clamped in Dhamnagar here on Sunday as tension erupted over a fire outbreak in Dhamnagar Bazaar on Friday night.

According to reports, the prohibitory orders have been imposed in Dhamnagar Chhak, NAC area, Bhagbanpur, Palikiri and Dobala Bazaar for 24 hours from 10 am today.

Sources said the tension flared up after some unidentified miscreants had reportedly torched four houses located in Dhamnagar Bazaar last night.

Anticipating further flare up, eight platoons of police forces have been deployed in the area, police sources said.

Four persons were detained last night and some weapons were also seized from their possession, police further added.

The District Administration has provided compensation of Rs 98,900 to one family whose house was completely damaged and Rs 32000 each to three families whose houses were partially damaged.

Meanwhile, Bhadrak SP Anup Sahoo , Collector Gyana Ranjan Das are on the spot to monitor the situation.
