Commissionerate Police has initiated taken measures to ensure that vehicles moving towards the capital city are checked thoroughly, especially during the night hours.

At the same time, police have launched an operation to check all vehicles strictly to monitor drunken driving, late-night commuting, and criminal activities. A team of DCPs under the leadership of Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh is in charge of checking under the Bhubaneswar Safe City Drive initiate

Patrolling too has been intensified with regular blocking at 26 entry and exit points in the Smart City. According to reports, 60 teams comprising 400 constables and other senior officers of the Commissionerate Police are undertaking the special drive ahead of the Independence Day celebrations in Bhubaneswar.
