Malkangiri: The jawans of the Border Security Force (BSF) detected seven improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Tutugumi under Panasput panchayat, about 177 km from the district headquarters.
Today morning, during a patrolling the security forces unearthed the IEDs near an old bridge under Jodamba police limits. The bomb squad was called upon the scene who then defused the IEDs.
The Maoists are suspected to have planted the bombs while targeting the security cover. The rebels have been known to usually plant and detonate IEDs blasts targeting the forces, movement of political or official cavalcade in their planned ambush.
