Bhubaneswar: Puri Jagannath temple has been rocked by yet another security breach. A youth from Maharashtra reportedly posted photographs taken inside the shrine on his Instagram account.
According to reports, Vaibhav Dure Patil allegedly took photos inside the Jagannath temple and posted them on his Instagram account, which quickly went viral.
This incident has sparked serious concerns about how he managed to click the photos despite strict prohibitions on photography inside the temple.
This is not an isolated incident, as the temple has faced a string of security lapses in recent times. Just a few days ago, on August 28, a drone was spotted hovering over the Srimandir premises, despite the area being a strictly designated no-flying zone. The authorities are still trying to determine who was operating the drone and how it managed to breach the security cordon.
On August 4, a youth from Gujarat was caught with spectacles fitted with a hidden spy camera. The very next day, another youth from West Bengal was apprehended on similar charges. These incidents have raised serious questions about the effectiveness of the temple’s security measures and the need for more stringent checks and monitoring.
