Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the reopening of the Lord Jagannath Temple in the pilgrim town from December 23, Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian visited Puri and reviewed the progress of the heritage corridor project.
Pandian discussed with the officials there regarding the progress of the work and directed them to expedite the land acquisition for the corridor and buffer areas.
He further directed to expedite the cleaning of debris, construction of the 20-meter outer road, and plan parallelly for shifting of public utilities.
Pandian was accompanied by SJTA Chief Krishan Kumar, Development Commissioner Suresh Mohapatra, Puri Collector Balwant Singh, and SP Kanwar Vishal Singh.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had earlier directed to complete the land acquisition process by January 1, 2021, and start work on the heritage corridor.
