Bhubaneswar: Another accused wanted in connection with the seizure of 1.150 Kg brown sugar in Khordha on Friday was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch on Saturday.
On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted by a team of STF, Bhubaneswar at Khordha, and the absconding drug peddler Debendra Swain alias Raghu of Bhaliabad under Khordha Town police limits was apprehended.
Reportedly, the STF on Friday during a raid at Havelipadia in Khordha under Khordha Town Police limits seized 1.150 Kg brown sugar and arrested a drug peddler Sidhartha Nayak alias Sidhu of Harijan Sahi under Khordha Town police limits.
One KTM Power Bike and other incriminating materials were seized from the possession of Nayak. Swain absconded from the spot during the raid. He has been arrested and further investigation into the case is underway.
