Malkangiri: Works Department Secretary Vir Vikram Yadav and Secretary, Fisheries & Animal Resource Development, Suresh Kumar Vashishth visited Malkangiri on Wednesday and reviewed the ongoing development works in the district.
Collector Vishal Singh, who accompanied the senior officials during the visit said that they reviewed the progress of Malkangiri airstrip and expressed satisfaction on the pace of work.
“The airstrip will be ready before time,” said Singh. The senior officials arrived in a special helicopter at the BSF camp here and were received by the Collector, SP Nitish Wadhwani, and DFO Malkangiri.
Following the airstrip review, they visited the Indoor Stadium, the Covid Hospital and saw various development projects. After the one-hour review program, Yadav and Vashishth flew back to Bhubaneswar.
