Bhubaneswar: A series of accidents involving three trucks on Palasuni overbridge has left one person seriously injured. The accident took place late on Tuesday night.
A truck heading towards Cuttack lost control and crashed into a divider on Palasuni overbridge. Two other trucks coming from behind hit back-to-back on the road. The accident disrupted traffic in the area for some time. The police rescued a seriously injured person and admitted to Capital Hospital. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
In a separate incident near an old age home on the Dhamnagar-Dobal main road in Bhadrak district, two bike riders collided head-on while returning from a procession on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami. The accident resulted in the death of Subhaprakash Sethi from Muhanpada village. Three critically injured persons have been shifted to Cuttack for medical treatment.
