Phulbani: Over three persons died and several others were injured after the pickup vehicle they were travelling in rammed into a tree near Kutibali village under Kotagada police limits in Kandhamal district today.
Reportedly, the passengers were on their way to attend a wedding reception at Madangi when the mishap occurred. The identities of the deceased persons are yet to be ascertained.
On receiving information, Kotagada Police along with a team of fire services rushed to the site to rescue the injured persons.
All the injured persons were first rushed to Kotagada Community Health Centre from where they were shifted to Baliguda Sub-Division Hospital and Bissamcuttack Hospital.
