Bhubaneswar: Light rain/thundershower is likely in some districts of Odisha under the influence of western disturbances during the next three days, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its midday bulletin on Thursday.
Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, and Nuapada districts may experience light rain on Friday and the amount and extent of rain is likely to increase on Saturday. The IMD has issued a rain alert for 14 districts of western Odisha including Jajpur, Bhadrak, Baleshwar, Angul, Dhenkanal, and Keonjhar. In addition, rain may occur in 10 districts of coastal Odisha, including Khurda, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kendrapara, and Nayagarh on Sunday.
Meanwhile, shallow to moderate fog has occurred at one or two places with dense fog at one or two places in Cuttack and Nayagarh districts.
Minimum temperatures observed appreciable fall at a few places over the districts of north interior Odisha and south coastal Odisha, one or two places over the districts of north coastal Odisha, and an appreciable rise at one or two places in south coastal Odisha The highest maximum temperature of 35.2°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 13.8°C was recorded at Jharsuguda in the plains of Odisha.
