Several Places In Odisha To Singe At 40°C Or More Till April 20: IMD

Bhubaneswar: The day temperatures (maximum temperature) are likely to rise further by 2°C-4°C across Odisha in the next three days due to the prevailing northwesterly/westerly dry air and high solar insolation. Consequently, the maximum temperature is likely to be more than 40°C or above at many places over the districts of the state, the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its mid-day bulletin on Tuesday.

Weather forecast and warning for the districts of Odisha:

Day 1 (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 17.04.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

YELLOW WARNING: (BE UPDATED) Heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Koraput, and Malkangiri.

Hot and humid weather conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 17.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 18.04.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

YELLOW WARNING: (BE UPDATED) Heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Angul, and Boudh.

Hot and humid weather conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

YELLOW WARNING: (BE UPDATED) Heat wave conditions very likely to prevail at one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Angul, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, and Bargarh.

Light rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places in Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Gajapati, and Ganjam and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.

YELLOW WARNING: (BE UPDATED) Heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Angul, Jharsuguda, and Sundargarh.

Day 6 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 21.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 22.04.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places in Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.

Day 7 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 22.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 23.04.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places in Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Balasore and dry weather is likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.
