Several Trains Cancelled Due To Derailment On Angul–Talcher Road

Bhubaneswar: Because of the derailment between Angul and Talcher Road yesterday several trains have been cancelled or diverted on the route on Wednesday.

CANCELLATION OF TRAINS:

  • 08425 Puri-Durg Special from Puri on 15.09.2021.
  • 08426 Durg-Puri Special from Durg on 15.09.2021.
  • 08452 Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Special from Puri on 15.09.2021.
  • 08451 Hatia-Puri Special from Hatia on 15.09.2021.

DIVERSION OF TRAINS:

  • 02093 Puri-Jodhpur Special from Puri on 15.09.2021 will run via Khurda Road-Jakhapura-Jaroli-Cjhakradharpur-Jharsuguda-Ib.
  • 08405 Puri-Ahmedabad Special from Puri on 15.09.2021 will run via Khurda Road-Vizianagaram-Titilagarh-Lakholi.
  • 09371 Indore-Puri Special left Indore on 14.09.2021 will run via Sambalpur-Titilagarh-Vizianagaram-Khurda Road.

In view of waterlogging on Railway Track at Hijli Station area along with some parts in Kharagpur Railway Division under South Eastern Railway, train services in Kharagpur-Bhubaneswar section have been affected partially.

As a result, the following trains were controlled enroute in Waltair Division of East Coast Railway jurisdiction.

  • 05487 Bangalore Cant-Agartala Special scheduled to pass in ECoR jurisdiction today was controlled at Nawapara Station from 0727 hours to 0800 hours.
  • 02874 Yesvantpur-Howrah Special scheduled to pass in ECoR jurisdiction today was controlled at 0745 hours.
  • 06178 Villupuram-Kharagpur Special scheduled to pass in ECoR jurisdiction today was controlled enroute and departed from Srikakulam at 0758 hours.

A goods train had derailed on Angul – Talcher Road single line Section of the East Coast Railway yesterday. As a result, some of the trains had been cancelled, diverted, short terminated and rescheduled.

Sambalpur Division had distributed snacks consisting Cake, Biscuits, drinking water & tea to the stranded passengers of Bikaner-Puri Special (1000 passengers) and in Durg-Puri Special trains (1400 passengers) and in other trains at Sambalpur Station.

Railways had grounded nine wagons before today noon. The first wagon was removed by the 140 ton crane at 1540 hours yesterday. The remaining wagons were removed by excavators.
