Severed Body Of Leopard Found Near Railway Tracks In Sundergarh

Sundergarh: Severed body of a leopard was found near railway tracks near Rampia village under Hemgir block of Sundergarh district on Wednesday.

It is alleged that villagers killed the leopard in the night and threw it on the railway tracks after it attacked four persons including a woman in the village.

Sundergarh DFO and other forest department officials arrived at the spot and have launched an investigation into the incident.

The Hemgiri Forest Range is reportedly home to many big cats including leopard, tiger and black panther.
