Karanjia(Mayurbhanj): Karanjia police have busted a sex racket operating from a rented house in Gada Sahi locality and arrested the pimp allegedly operating the racket.
The accused has been identified as Gopinath Choudhary. He is around 50 year-olds.
According to reports, police raided Choudhary’s rented house after a video of a client haggling with Choudhary over the charges for a one-night stand with a sex worker went viral.
Choudhury originally a native of Kendrapara district has been staying in Karanjia since 2003 and used to eke out a living by selling ayurvedic medicine.
However, over the last three months Choudhary has been running a sex racket from his rented house by procuring sex workers from Bhubaneswar and Jamshedpur. He allegedly used to charge Rs 600-Rs 1000 from clients for a one-night stand with a sex worker, reports added.
