Khordha: In a late-night crackdown, police busted a sex racket operating out of a rented house in Bikash Nagar area of Khordha town and arrested eight persons, including the alleged kingpin, three women and four customers.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of Khordha Model Police Station and the Special Squad conducted a raid at the premises where the illegal activity was reportedly being carried out for the past few days. The operation was led by Crime Branch and Special Squad in-charge Ravi Narayan Bhanj.
During the raid, police apprehended the alleged mastermind of the racket from the spot. Three women, suspected to be engaged in the sex trade, and four customers present at the house were also taken into custody.
