Sexual Slur Against Ravenshaw Asst Prof: Statements Of Victim, Accused Recorded

**Cuttack**: A day after Alekh Kumar Sutar, an assistant professor of Ravenshaw University was suspended over sexual harassment charge the internal probing committee of the varsity recorded statements of both victim and accused on Monday.

The Gender Sensitisation Committee Against Sexual Harassment (GSCASH) of the university has recorded the statements and will submit the report to Vice-Chancellor in two days.

Sources said the girl and the assistant professor went to chamber of Dr Rita Paikray of Physics Department who is also the member of the GSCASH, to record their statements amid media presence.

“We have received the written statements of both in detail and will submit the report to VC in one or two days,” said Bikram Keshari Mishra, another member of the GSCASH.

Notably, the victim, a Plus Three first year Science student, alleged that Sutar had been harassing her mentally and sexually by making lewd remarks on the campus. “I was compelled to file complaint against him when his behaviour became intolerable,” the victim had said earlier.
