Koraput: A sacred Shiva Linga has surfaced while digging at Nuaguda village under Borigumma block in Koraput district, attracting thousands of devotees.
As per reports, the phenomenon occurred after a massive banyan tree uprooted itself recently. A resident of Nuaguda identified as Samir using a metal detector discovered the linga beneath the tree. Then villagers came together and dug the soil up to a few metres deep and unearthed the Shiva linga under the ground.
As news of the Shiva Linga’s emergence spread rapidly, people of neighbouring villages in large numbers thronged to Nuaguda village to witness the miraculous discovery.
