Shocking! Elderly Man Survives 60 Nights Inside Culvert Over Family Dispute In Sundergarh

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a 60-year-old man was rescued from a pipe inside a culvert in Tensa police outpost area of Sundergarh district.

The man, identified Johan Kandulana of Takara Rengalbedha village under Lahunipada police station, had been missing for two months and was found to be hiding inside the pipe. He survived on dry foods only, reports said.

After receiving information about his presence inside the pipe, Tensa police started an operation and rescued him. Despite spending 60 days in the harsh conditions, Johan’s health is reported to be good, reports added.

The elderly man, who allegedly left his home due to a family dispute, was in a severe mental stress. The police are investigating the incident. The video of the operation is doing rounds on social media.
