Shree Jagannath Temple Receives Over Rs 113 Cr As Donations In Last Three Years

Bhubaneswar: The Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri has received over Rs 113 crore from various sources including hundi (Donation box) in the last three years.

Between 2021 and 2024, Rs 113,02,55,889 have come to the temple from various sources including hundi, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan today told the Assembly in a written reply.

In 2021-22, Rs 8,23,13,127 were received from hundi, while in 2022-23, Rs 15,46,17,152 were received and in 2023-24, Rs 16,92,36,974 were received.

Similarly, through bank accounts, the Jagannath temple received Rs 6,83,31,961 in 2021-22. In 2022-23, the temple received Rs 30,72,27,216, and in 2023-24, it received Rs 22,24,39,918, the minister said.

Similarly, from other sources, the Jagannath temple received Rs2,25,31,497 in 2021-22, Rs 4,62,343 in 2022-23, and Rs 5,73,57,701 in 2023-24.
