Puri: Buxi Ram Chandra Pratihari, a servitor and senior supervisor of Shree Jagannath Temple, was seriously injured after being attacked by a miscreant with a bhujali near the temple’s western gate on Friday evening.
According to reports, Pratihari was left writhing in pain as the attacker fled the scene. He was promptly rescued by the Jagannath Temple Police (JTP) and rushed to the district headquarters hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment for multiple bleeding injuries.
While it is suspected that the attack was the result of a previous enmity, a case has been registered at Singhadwar police station. A senior police official assured that the culprit would be apprehended soon.
