Bhubaneswar: Principal Secretary, Women and Child Development Department, Shubha Sarma, today assumed additional charge as Principal Secretary, Water Resources Department.
She was welcomed by senior officials at the Water Resources Department office, where they briefed her on departmental responsibilities.
Sarma emphasised the importance of proper departmental management and directed officials to plan field visits in January. She stressed on monitoring and observing various schemes, and the successful organisation of Panchayat Pakhya and other programs at the state, district, and divisional levels.
Senior officials present included Special Secretary Narahari Sethi, Director and Special Secretary Ashok Kumar Behera, Senior Engineer Dr. C. Chandrasekhar Padhee, and other department heads. They discussed various initiatives and assured cooperation in implementing departmental goals.
Sarma’s priorities include the effective implementation of schemes and coordination with other departments for successful programme execution in January.
