Bhubaneswar: The High Court has rejected the anticipatory bail application of Shankar Prusty, the main accused in the Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment scam. Prusty’s wife, Diptimayee Sahu, also had her anticipatory bail application rejected. The court directed Sahu to appear in the lower court to file a bail application.

Shankar Prusty and his wife Deeptimayee Sahu have been absconding since the incident came to light. The court’s decision means both will have to face the legal process.

The Crime Branch has so far arrested 123 persons in the case. The hunt is still on to apprehend the mastermind.
