Bhubaneswar: One among the two minor siblings who were admitted to Banai hospital after being bitten by a poisonous snake at Katuridhua village under Banai police limits in Sundargarh district, died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday night.

According to sources, Sunil Oram’s children Sandip Oram (4) and Alisha Oram (12) were asleep after having dinner last night.

Sunil and his family members woke up to the screaming of Sandip and Alisha. To their utter surprise, Sunil and his wife found Sandip and Alisha were writhing in pain.

They did not understand anything initially.  They were shocked to see a poisonous snake going out of their house.

Without delay, the siblings were taken to Banai Hospital where Sandip died. As Alisha’s condition became critical, she was shifted to Rourkela Government Hospital. Her condition is stated to be critical.
