Bhubaneswar: Cubs of lion, bear and hyena were spotted playing together in an enclosure at Nandankanan Zoo here today. The video released on social media grabbed the attention of one and all as such an instance of cohabitation is very rare.
The cubs of three different species were seen enjoying their company and playing joyfully with one another. It was indeed a sight to behold.
As per the sources, these animal cubs are either orphans or have been rejected by their parents. They have been put in the same enclosure to make them socialise in the absence of their parents.
On January 11, Nandankanan welcomed new lion cubs. Lioness Riwa gave birth to four cubs – while two cubs died the same day, the other two cubs were given special treatment.
