Puri: The silver-plating of all eight prominent doors of the Lord Jagannath Temple may get delayed as the works on some doors are likely to be postponed till next Rath Yatra, informed Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Krishan Kumar after a review meeting on Monday.
While the silver-plating on Beheran Dwar has been completed, the work on Jay Bijaya Dwar, Bhog Mandap Dwar, and Satapahach Dwar is likely to be finished before Niladri Bije and the works of the remaining doors will be postponed till the next Rath Yatra.
The illumination work of the Srimandir will continue even after the Rath Yatra. Besides, laser scanning of Jagamohan, Bhog Mandap, and Nata Mandap has been completed by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
Necessary steps will be taken once it becomes clear where the cracks have been created after technical and scientific studies, said the Chief Administrator.
