Bhubaneswar: In an encouraging move towards a sustainable energy future, the Single Window Committee (SWC) of the Energy Department, under the chairmanship of the Principal Secretary, Energy Department, Vishal Kumar Dev, has approved investment proposals totalling Rs 1079.62 crore.
This significant funding is dedicated to the establishment of transformative green energy projects, demonstrating the state’s unwavering commitment to achieving its NetZero target.
The SWC’s resounding approval includes a 30MW ground-mounted solar project by GMR Kamalanga and 19.53 MW rooftop solar initiative by JSL which will eventually revolutionize the region’s solar energy capacity.
Similarly, a significant leap towards harnessing hydroelectric power is marked by the approval of the 63MW large hydro project by the state run PSU Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd (OHPC).
