Boudh: In a shocking news, two sisters attempted suicide by consuming poison at Mahalikapada village under Harabhanga police limits in Boudh district, on Thursday night.
While the elder sister Nalini Sahu died, the younger sister Salini Sahu is undergoing treatment at Boudh District Headquarters Hospital. And Nalini’s health condition is stated to be critical.
As per reports, Salini had visited her sister’s house two days prior to the incident. Nalini was married to Manoranjan Sahu of Mahalikapada village, and they have a three-year-old son.
On Thursday night, the sisters allegedly consumed poison, and Nalini died shortly after. However, the reason behind their attempt to commit suicide by consuming poison is yet to be ascertained.
Upon being informed, Harbhanga police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances leading to this tragic event.
