Six Killed In Lightning Strikes Across Odisha

Bhubaneswar: At least six persons were killed in separate incidents of lightning strikes across Odisha today.

According to reports, while a woman died at Bahabajapur in Dandamukundapur area under Pipili police limits in Puri district in lightning strike, a minor girl was killed in lightning strike at Ghosara village in Bonai block in Sundargarh district.

Similarly, a farmer died in a lightning strike at Hatadihi under Anandapur sub-division in Keonjhar district while he was working in his farmland.

Besides, a man and his son died in a lightning strike near Kalijugeswar hill inside Chilika Lake. The father-son duo had gone inside Chilika Lake to catch fish in their boat when lightning struck.

Moreover, a farmer of Padanpur village under Banki Dompada block died in a lightning strike.
