Bhubaneswar: Six more persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in Odisha, as per the information published on the State COVID Dashboard on Wednesday.
As published on the dashboard, three of the deceased are from Ganjam and one each from Kendrapara, Khurda and Rayagada. With this, the number of COVID related deaths in the State jumped to 48.
The Health & Family Welfare Department reported that out of the three deceased of Ganjam district, one was a 55-year-old male, another was a 64-year-old male suffering from diabetes and the third patient was a 50-year-old female also suffering from diabetes.
The patient of Rayagada was 80-year-old male suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and the patient of Kendrapara was a 49-year-old male also suffering from diabetes.
While the patient of Khurda district was a 55-year-old male from Bhubaneswar, an HIV positive male aged 53 years of Khordha district, who also tested positive for COVID-19, succumbed to HIV-AIDS.
