Bhubaneswar: Total 20 officers and personnel of Odisha Police will be awarded the Governor’s Medal for 2021. As per a notification issued by the Home Department, in Category I, IG Police, Praveen Kumar and Asheet Kumar Panigrahi have been selected for the prestigious medal.
Similarly, in Category II, Bhadrak SP Charan Singh Meena and Berhampur SP Pinak Mishra will be awarded with the Governor’s medal on Republic Day, 2022.
In Category III, Additional SP (Sambalpur) Tapan Kumar Mohanty and Assistant Commandant SOG, Bhubaneswar, Madhabananda Pradhan have been selected for the honour, the notification read.
In the fourth category – Inspectors Srinibas Dora, Ratnaprava Satpathy and Suresh Kumar Tripathy will get the award on Wednesday. Similarly, SIs Pradyumna Kumar Nanda, Sudarshan Adhikari and Deputy Subedar Sagar Prasad Joshi have been selected.
Two ASIs Simanchal Behera and Pranab Kumar Nayak and Havildar Ashok Kumar Samantray have been selected for the Governor’s medal in the sixth category.
In the seventh category Constables Kiran Kumar Patra, Goutam Patro, Sukesh Pradhan, Susant Kumar Routray and Rashmirekha Panda will be conferred with the award.
