Bhubaneswar: The body of a six-year-old girl was recovered from a septic tank at Chhend Colony in Rourkela on Thursday.
The deceased girl has been identified as Sorun Badaik. It is suspected that the girl fell into the 30-foot deep septic tank while playing, as there was no cover on it.
Chhend police have recovered the body from the tank and initiated an investigation into the incident. The body has been sent to the Rourkela Government Hospital’s morgue for further proceedings.
