Sizzling Heat Returns: Hot & Humid Weather Likely To Grip Odisha Till May 14

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is reeling under hot and humid weather conditions. This sweltering weather is expected to persist until May 14, according to the India Meteorological Department.

A yellow alert has been issued for several districts over the next six days, indicating caution for residents and travellers alike.

Here is the date-wise prediction for heatwave made by the regional weather office:

May 9: Hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack and Jajpur.

May 10: Hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack and Jajpur.

May 11: Heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Boudh, Balangir, and Sambalpur.

Hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, and Jajpur.

May 12: Heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Boudh, Bolangir, Sundargarh and Sambalpur.

Hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, and Jajpur.

May 13: Heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Boudh, Balangir, Sundargarh, and Sambalpur.

Hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khurda, Cuttack, and Jajpur.

May 14: Heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Boudh, Bolangir, Sundargarh, Nayagarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, and Angul.

Hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khurda, Cuttack, and Jajpur.
