Bhubaneswar: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has filed a complaint against another servitor at the Singha Dwar police station for using a mobile phone atop chariot during the Bahuda Yatra of the trinity.
Photographs of the concerned priest using phones on the Darpadalan chariot of Goddess Subhadra and a news article published in newspaper have also been attached along with the complaint.
The SJTA also received some videos and pictures of servitors using mobile phones on chariots. The temple authorities will lodge complaints in phase-wise and initiate action against the servitors after police identify them during the investigation.
During the Bahuda Yatra, some of the servitors did not pay heed to the orders issued by the SJTA chief administrator Arabinda Kumar Padhee.
Some servitors were seen shooting the crowd from atop the chariots.
Earlier on Tuesday, the SJTA also lodged a complaint seeking legal actions against the unauthorised persons found on the chariots during Rath Yatra on July 7 and 8.
The temple administration in support of its complaint produced the relevant CCTV footage and the order prohibiting unauthorised persons from climbing the chariots.
Earlier, temple chief administrator Arabinda Padhee had warned servitors not to allow unauthorised persons on the chariots and use of mobile phones.
