Bhubaneswar: In a bid to manage crowds effectively at Shree Jagannath Temple during the holy month of Karttik, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has introduced new entry and exit rules, effective October 18.
As per the new plan, devotees can enter only through Singha Dwar and Paschima Dwar starting October 18. They can exit through three alternative gates, excluding Singha Dwar, according to an SJTA release.
However, these regulations are not applicable to servitors and their family members.

The temple administration has implemented these measures to maintain order amidst the large influx of devotees and Habisyalis during Karttik.
The SJTA’s move aims to ease darshan system amid massive flow of devotees.
The 12th-century shrine usually witnesses large footfall of devotees during the holy month to have darshan of the deities.
