SJTA Seeks Eviction Of Encroachers From Laxmi Market Complex In Puri

Puri: The Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration (SJTA) has sought eviction of encroachers from the 22 decimals of land at Laxmi Market Complex on the Grand Road and handing over of the property to it since it belongs to Lord Jagannath.

The SJTA has written a letter to the local Tahasildar to evict encroachers from the 22 decimals of land at Laxmi Market Complex, the title of which is in the name of Lord Jagannatha and of which SJTA is the custodian, informed Ajay Kumar Jena, Development Administrator, SJTA.

Jena said that the SJTA has asked the Tahasildar to hand over the land to it after making it encroachment free.

Laxmi Market Complex exists on land belonging to SJTA as it is situated on plot no.456 of Chudanga Sahi Khata no.67 title holder of which is Lord Jagannatha, he added.

Notably, a massive fire was reported at Laxmi Market Complex recently which took Fire Service personnel 72 hours to douse.
