**Keonjhar: ** Skeleton of a minor pregnant girl was recovered from a forest under Daitari police limit in Keonjhar district on Thursday (June 29).
The minor girl (14) was a resident of Gurujangpur village in Kaans panchayat under Kaliapani police station of Jajpur district.
Police had recovered skull and bones from a forest next to Talapada village after which they were unable to trace the deceased.
Later, with the help of Kaliapani police the Daitari police managed to trace the deceased’s family member.
As per sources, the minor was found pregnant after which she eloped with her lover identified as Mitu Dehuri (30) of Dehuri sahi of neighbouring Ostapala village. They married secretly. Mitu is still absconding.
An FIR has been lodged by the family members of the deceased.
