Smart Phones Distributed To Visually-Challenged Girl Students By Cuttack ‘Samagra Sikshya’

Cuttack: Aimed at the further development of the visually-challenged students, ‘Samagra Sikshya’ organization today conducted a one-day long workshop at the District Collector’s Conference Hall and distributed smart phones as a part of its Information and Communication Technology (ICT) bearing gadgets.

The special occasion was graced by Cuttack Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani.    

In his media reactions, Cuttack Collector said, “40 visually-challenged children, either partially or fully blind, were distributed today smart phones so that they could learn from it by listening.”

“We have started a ‘Panchasakha’ programme here. I have asked our officials to create a group of five, having physical challenges, so that they could cooperate each other. The group will be a combination of those who are facing physical challenges like hearing, speech, eyesight, etc. Thus, they can get an opportunity for their overall development,” he stated.
