Bhubaneswar: A five-year-old girl died after being bitten by a poisonous snake under the Gudari police station area in Rayagada district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Bhulata, daughter of Sanjay Kaibarta.
According to reports, Bhulata went to attend nature’s call outside her home when she was bitten by the reptile. Her family members immediately took her to Padmapur Hospital, where the doctor declared her dead.
Meanwhile, Gudari police outpost officials initiated an investigation and sent the body to Gunpur Sub-Divisional Hospital for post-mortem.
