Bhubaneswar: With a few days left for the Ram Navami festival, Special DG of Odisha Crime Branch Vinaytosh Mishra, reviewed the security arrangements in the Bhadrak and Balasore districts.

The meeting, attended by senior police officials, including Eastern Range DIG Satyajit Naik, Bhadrak Superintendent of Police (SP) Madkar Sandeep Sampat and Balasore SP Raj Prasad focused on ensuring a peaceful and incident-free celebration.

To ensure a peaceful Ram Navami celebration, the DG implemented several security measures in Bhadrak district.

“DG Of the Crime Branch reviewed the security arrangement.  As per his instruction, 26 platoons of police force will be deployed to maintain law and order in Bhadrak while 17 platoons of police force will be deployed in Balasore. The CRPF, BSF, and RAF personnel will be stationed in both districts to provide additional security support. CCTV surveillance will be set up in sensitive areas to monitor the situation. Drone cameras will be used to keep a watchful eye on critical locations”, said DIG Satyajit Naik.

“Ahead of Ram Navami celebrations, a warrant drive will be conducted to apprehend unscrupulous elements with outstanding warrants, including Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) holders. To ensure a peaceful celebration, Static Forces and Quick Response Teams will be deployed to address any situation that may arise. Additionally, alternative traffic arrangements will be made to facilitate smooth movement of vehicles”, added DIG.

Social media platforms will be monitored to prevent the spread of misinformation. Quick Response Teams will be stationed at strategic locations to respond promptly to any emerging situation.

Police also conducted flag march in Bhadrak district on Wednesday as part of the security preparations for Ram Navami celebrations.
