Special Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test Postponed

Bhubaneswar: The Special Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (SOTET) 2025 has been postponed until further notification.

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, will announce the new date later. The exam was scheduled to be held at 193 exam centres across Odisha today, July 20, 2025. As many as 75,403 candidates had filled up forms to appear in the exams.

“The special OTET 2025 (Paper-I, Paper II), which has been scheduled to be held on 20.07.202,5 is hereby postponed until further notification,” read a notification issued by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha.

Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 exams have been postponed. SOTET 2025 is designed for in-service teachers in Odisha who meet the required qualifications, consisting of two papers: Paper 1 for teachers of classes 1-5 and Paper 2 for teachers of classes 6-8.
