Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has postponed the Special Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) scheduled for August 31, announcing that fresh dates will be notified soon.
This is the second disruption for the Special OTET-2025. The exam, originally slated for July 20, was abruptly canceled the previous night following a question paper leak. The case was subsequently handed over to the Crime Branch for investigation.
During the probe, eight individuals were arrested, including BSE Vice-President Nihar Mohanty, Data Entry Operator Jiten Maharana from the Board’s office, and Bijay Mishra, President of the Ex-Cadre Teachers’ Association in Rayagada district.
On Wednesday, the Crime Branch concluded a two-day remand for Maharana and Mishra, after which they were taken to Choudwar Jail . The investigation into the leak is ongoing.
