**Bhubaneswar:** Two special fare special trains from Ernakulam in flood-hit Kerala to Santragachhi in West Bengal to evacuate the stranded people and clear extra rush of passengers were started by the South Eastern Railway (SER) today.
The trains will run via Trivandrum, Chennai Egmore, Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar and Kharagpur Junction with stoppages at Duvvada, Vijayanagaram, Srikakulam, Palasa, Berhampur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Balasore and Bhadrak in the jurisdiction of East Coast Railway (ECoR).
Commencing their journey from Ernakulam at 6.00 PM and 9.00 PM today the 06018 and 06022 Ernakulam – Santragachhi Special Fare Special Trains are expected to reach Bhubaneswar at 7.30 AM and 11.33 AM on August 21 (Tuesday) and leave towards Santragachhi at 7.35 AM and 11.38 AM.
Both the trains consist of one First Class AC (1AC), one Second Class AC (2AC), two Third Class AC (3AC), eight sleeper class, six unreserved and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
In the list prepared by the State Emergency Operation Centre of Odisha, a total of 187 people from the State are stranded currently in Kerala.
While majority of the people are locked down in Ernakulam, several are also marooned in areas of Kerala Pathanamthitta, Chalkudi, Trishur, Angamali, Kanurchurch and Dhansali.
