Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, seven members of a family miraculously escaped injury when a speeding car rammed into their thatched house at Sansamura Chhak under Binika police station in Sonepur district on Sunday.
The incident occurred early Sunday morning when the car, allegedly carrying a consignment of ganja (dry cannabis), veered off the road and crashed into the house, causing significant damage.
According to sources, the driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, abandoning the vehicle.
Police officials suspect that the car was involved in smuggling ganja. An investigation is underway.
Fortunately, all seven family members were unhurt in the mishap.
