Balasore: Thieves broke into three houses in Kamanapur Treasure Colony under Soro police limits in Balasore district last night, making off with valuable items.
According to sources, the houses of Prafulla Rout, Krutibasa Rout, and Annapurna Sandhibigraha were burgled.
Annapurna had gone to her relative’s house in the evening, while Krutibasa had been living in America since January. The thieves took advantage of their absence to break into the houses, making off with 5-6 kilograms of gold, 12 silver plates, and Rs 40,000 in cash from Annapurna’s house.
Police have started investigating the incident with the help of a scientific team.
