Cuttack: A spurious cement manufacturing unit running from Champati village under Jagatpur police limits in Cuttack district was busted on Monday.
As informed by police, the factory collected hardened cement from various sources. It turned the cement to powder form and supplied to the market in bags of different brands.
Meanwhile, police have detained two persons and probe is underway to identify the source of the hardened cement and to whom it was sold after grinding it to powder form.
