Dhenkanal: Excise sleuths on Monday busted an illegal liquor manufacturing unit in Kanheipal village under Bhuban police limits with the seizure of a huge quantity of spirit and other incriminating material.
The raid was carried out by a joint team of Flying Squad, Cuttack and Excise officials of Kamakhyanagar. “One Bishnucharan Behera, a liquor mafia of Kanheipal village has been arrested. Total 70 litres of spurious liquor, 360 litre spirit, 3,000 duplicate labels, 1,000 bottles, and other incriminating materials were seized,” a senior official said.
