Jajpur: Close on the heels of adulterated food items, even synthetic paneer and fake cement manufacturing units busted in Cuttack city and several accused persons arrested, the district police here today pounced down on an oil re-processor unit for allegedly producing duplicate mobil and engine oil.
The raid was conducted by Balichandrapur police led by Jajpur SDPO Chinmoy Nayak.
Police said that they acted on the complaint that the oil re-processor unit has been operating since long and indulging in producing fake mobil.
Following the sudden raid, the employees fled the spot.
Investigation was still on.
It is alleged that the unit re-process the rejected oil of various companies and supply it both in the State as well as outside.
Notably, this unit had already been raided previously and has been under scanner of the police.
