Bhubaneswar: With the India Meteorological Department issuing yellow warnings for dense fog to four districts, the Special Relief Commissioner advised police and transport department officials to ensure safe driving during fog on highways to avoid road mishaps.
As per the IMD report, dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh on Tuesday. These districts have been issued yellow warnings.
Similarly, the regional weather office has forecasted shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal and Kalahandi.
Keeping the IMD warning in mind, the SRC has asked the concerned officials to take necessary steps to take necessary steps for controlled plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to avoid any road mishaps.
