Srimandir Temple Administration To Meet To Decide On Silver Cladding 8 Doors

Puri: The members of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) are meeting today afternoon to decide on the particulars for cladding of eight doors in the 12th-century temple with silver.

The meeting, to be chaired by Chief Administrator of SJTA, will seek the opinion of servitors and senior members of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) before taking a decision. A total of 2.5 quintals of silver is proposed to be used.

The main gates (Garbhadwara) to see a silver makeover are that of Mahalaxmi temple, Vimala temple, Sata Pahacha, Nrusingha and west Bhoga Mandap; informed Srimandir Development Administrator Ajay Jena over the phone.
