Cuttack: The State Transport Authority (STA) has directed 15 Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) to start new Driving Licence (DL) application with effect from October 8.
The 15 RTOs are Chandikhole, Barbil, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Phulbani, Sundergarh, Bargarh, Rayagada, Angul, Gajapati, Nawarangpur, Boudh, Deogarh, Malkangiri and Bhanjanagar.
An order issued today by the Transport Commissioner mentions, “Instructions were issued to all RTOs vide this office Memo No. 7781 dated 10.09.2020 for resumption of DL Skill Test w.e.f 18.09.2020 with slot capacity of 40% due to COVID-19 pandemic. On reviewing the DL slot booking status, it is observed that the demand for slots has come down” in the above-mentioned 15 RTOs.
